Pikes Peak Regional Doula Association (PPRDA) The Pikes Peak Regional Doula Association was established in 2001 by a group of doulas who shared a common vision. Here's our mission statement: "Pikes Peak Regional Doula Association (PPRDA) is an organization whose mission is to provide services, education and resources to birthing and postpartum families and to build a stronger birth community by mutually supporting and working with its doula members and other local birth professionals." All members must agree to serve according to the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics of Doulas of North America (DONA). To be a PPRDA member a doula must either be certified or be working toward certification with a nationally recognized organization. We hold monthly business meetings and have quarterly guest speakers. We help promote our members through brochures, baby fairs, the media, community education and this website. If you would like to join our organization or would like to know more about how to become a doula, please contact us.
