As a certified postpartum doula practicing in the Pikes Peak region for the past 10 years, Deirdre is experienced with multiples as well as special needs babies. She remains current on Lactation information as a member of La Leche League, with extensive personal studies in: breastfeeding, nutrition following exclusive breastfeeding, and postpartum depression. Deirdre is always up to date on all baby information as the Basic Newborn Care instructor at Memorial's Health Link. As a Postpartum Doula, she offers a "extra pair of hands" combined with non intrusive, nonjudgmental validating support, according to the family's specific needs and wishes. No contract consultations are available to parents who need a little boost. Always ready to reassure Mom of her natural mothering instincts, an essential part of the bonding process. Her goal is to nurture the family as a whole, helping the daily routine to run smoothly. Deirdre brings a calm professionalism into the homes with newborns.
