Desirre has been married for 12 years to her husband Mitchell and mom to four growing boys. She has had 2 vaginal births and 2 cesareans (both vaginal births were VBAC's). She is a CAPPA trained and certified Labor Doula, Childbirth Educator, Lactation Educator and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator.
She believes that birth is a truly normal and at the same time deeply profound event that is optimized by personalized support, defined birth goals with flexibility built in and solid education.
Supporting the laboring woman and her partner together as well as, individually is very important to Desirre. By not replacing but by helping the partner participate in the birth to the best of his ability lends to a deeper family attachment and bond.
Her goals are to instill confidence with true information, equipping women and families for the work of labor, delivery and postpartum, build a trusting safe rapport, and understand each family's unique needs and birth goals.
