About PPRDA

PPRDA was established in 2001 by a group of doulas who shared a common vision.

All members of PPRDA must agree to serve according to the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics of Doulas of North America (DONA) and/or Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). To be included on our referral list, a doula must either be certified or working towards certification with a nationally recognized organization.

We hold meetings once a month and help promote our members' services through community events, the media, informative talks, brochures and our website.
