Keith Roberts LMT, CD(DONA)
Pregnancy Massage
www.keithrobertslmt.com
719-632-5912
Keith Roberts brings a massage background to his doula services. As a strong physical supporter, his focus at a birth is to bring down pain with sacral counterpressure and hot packs on the low back. Using these pain relief techniques, he sees a dramatic increase in the number of mothers who achieve a natural birth. In addition, Keith brings a calmness to labor and delivery, with a positive attitude and great expectations for a wonderful birth experience. Keith wants the father to take on the role of strong emotional supporter, an area in which the dad can surely shine and stay within his comfort zone. Mother, father, doula -- a birth team is formed. As a prenatal massage therapist, Keith has worked on over 800 mothers and has assisted at 140 births over the past 14 years. He is also a studio photographer, specializing in black and white photographs of pregnancy and newborns. Keith and his wife cast mothers at full term in plaster/gauze or in alginate/copper.
